We have grown accustomed to the “new normal”: A state of crises, wars, revolutions and counter revolutions. A process of changing power structures and social norms. The mundanity of globalization and digitalization. The commercialization of information and communication. Time has become vertical — a “free fall” (Hito Steyerl)? We feel fractured, endless, limitless, meaningless. We are missing the words, slurring our speech, we stutter and silence.
The End of Capitalism is a collection of video and text fragments collected over fifteen months of COVID-19.
The video was created for the screening “play” at HilbertRaum Berlin, curated by Raum www.
Fourteen video works were projected in a loop, onto the project space’s windowpane, from December 4th to 14th, 2020.
