As part of the participant presentations during my residency at the Jan van Eyck Academie in Maastricht, I presented the script of my video work In de Duysent Vrees in combination with text fragments and notes from my working process.

From the publication that accompanies the video work, I read parts of my research on the Identitarian Movement and post-capitalist theory as well as noted memories. These fragments contextualize the fictional video script.

Additionally, Suzanne Bernhardt and I decided on the academy’s garden as our presentations location, to which Suzanne Bernhardt contributed with a self-made black oat genever. Since my work often picks up elements from my family history, I cooked borscht according to my mother’s recipe.
