With a focus on media and network culture, artist and designer Andrea Karch investigates the interplay of radicalism and neoliberalism. An offspring of the Integrated Design program at the University of Arts Bremen, Andrea Karch began working with time-based media at the Sandberg Institute in Amsterdam. From 2012 to 2014, she worked on an interview project in Cairo which marked the beginning of her continuous investigation of media and network culture. Her video work Radical Youth has been exhibited at the 4th Istanbul Design Biennial, the 7th Poppositions Art Fair in Brussels, at S.M.A.K Ghent and at the annual Berlin Masters 2018 group show.

Andrea Karch is the initiator of SCHMERZ Conversations on Crisis, an interview series exploring strategies to counter social fragmentation and right-wing alliances.
